1994 Chrysler Lebaron Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1994 Chrysler Lebaron, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

WHEN CONSUMER STARTED THE VEHICLE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK

NHTSA ID 10064606 · filed Mar 22, 2004

DRIVERS SIDE REAR WINDOW WOULD NOT GO DOWN. THERE WAS WATER IN THE FRONT AND REAR FLOOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. THE DEALER HAD TO REPLACE THE MOTOR ON THE WINDOW BECAUSE THE DRAINAGE HOLE WAS NOT BIG ENOUGH TO ALLOW THE WATER TO DRAIN OUT AND THERE WERE GALLONS OF WATER BEING RETAINED IN THE REAR PANEL OF THE VEHICLE. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS A RECALL ITEM IN OTHER YEARS BUT NOT IN MINE AND THAT IT HAD TOO MANY MILES FOR CHRYSLER TO DO ANYTHING. I FEEL IF THE DESIGN WAS NOT POOR THE WATER WOULD HAVE DRAINED OUT AND I WOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO PAY $314 FOR A NEW MOTOR ON THE WINDOW.
