The defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021 Forester 2401BSD, FR3 F3A32DSF, Georgetown GTA36K7, 2022-2023 East to West Entrada, 2023 East to West Alta, Coachmen Apex, Brookstone, Chaparral and Chaparral Lite, Forest River Crusader, Sanibel, Shasta Phoenix, Coachmen Spirit, and East to West Tandara vehicles. The solar panel mounting hardware may become loose and pull through the slot in the panel.
The risk: Loose hardware can cause the solar panels to detach from the vehicle during transit, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will install additional hardware to the existing panel and install a secondary holding bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 5, 2023. Owners may contact East to West Alta, Entrada and Tandara customer service at 1-574-264-6664; Coachmen Apex and Spirit customer service at 1-574-825-8205; Coachmen Brookstone, Chaparral, Chaparral Lite, and Shasta Phoenix customer service at 1-574-825-7101; Crusader and Sanibel customer service at 1-574-862-1025; and Georgetown Forester and FR3 customer service at 1-574-206-7600. The contact owns a 2023 Coachmen Brookstone RV, equipped with Sterling Tires, Tire Line: All-Steel 129M, Tire Size: ST235/80/R16, DOT: 18DCRCDN2, and Manufactured Date: 2022. The contact stated that while the RV was parked, the contact became aware that the front driver's side tire tread had detached. The RV was taken to an independent mechanic, and the tire was replaced. The RV was repaired. The contact stated that recently, while the RV was hitched to the vehicle, there was an abnormal sound coming from the RV. While inspecting the RV, the contact became aware that the front passenger's tire tread had detached. The contact replaced the tire with the spare tire. The contact stated that the wheel well and wiring were damaged. The RV was then taken to an independent mechanic. The RV was being repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:REFRIGERATOR

According to a Furrion TSB "TB-220919": Irregular cooling performance has been reported on the identified refrigerators. The refrigerator compressor has been found to stop working and requires a “hard reset” by disconnecting power to reset cooling operation. On occasion, disconnecting power does not reset operation and the refrigerator requires service replacement of the control boards. This TSB may not be applicable for some vehicles.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The installed Energy Management Switch may have been set to the "Short Delay" option of the switch. This may cause a nuisance 110V breaker trip. There is an option on the Energy Management Switch to set "Long Delay", which should alleviate a nuisance of the 110V breaker tripping.
