The defect: COACHMEN IS RECALLING 37,293 MOTORHOMES AND FIFTH WHEEL TRAVEL TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH A TWO-DOOR REFRIGERATOR MANUFACTURED BY THE DOMETIC CORPORATION. THE REFRIGERATOR MAY HAVE A DEFECT IN THE BOILER TUBE. PRESSURIZED COOLANT SOLUTION COULD BE RELEASED INTO AN AREA WHERE AN IGNITION SOURCE (GAS FLAME) IS PRESENT.
The risk: EXTENDED OPERATION OF A LEAKING COOLING UNIT COULD LEAD TO A FIRE FROM GAS WHICH MIGHT ESCAPE.
The remedy: COACHMEN IS WORKING WITH DOMETIC IN ORDER TO REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS (PLEASE SEE 08E032). DOMETIC WILL REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS BY INSTALLING A SECONDARY BURN HOUSING, A THERMAL FUSE, AND A MELT FUSE FREE OF CHARGE. DOMETIC HAS RETAINED STERICYCLE INC. TO MANAGE THIS CAMPAIGN. STERICYCLE WILL ASSIST THE OWNER IN LOCATING DEALERSHIPS OR SERVICE CENTERS AND WILL PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH SCHEDULING OF APPOINTMENTS. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DOMETIC/STERICYCLE AT 1-888-446-5157 OR COACHMEN AT 574-825-5821.

TRUCKER PULLED ME OVER, DUE TO EXCESIVE DIESEL FUEL LEAKING. STOPPED, DUMPED 2 GAL OF DIESEL, BEFORE I COULD STOP THE ENGINE. PULLING CAR, COVERED WITH DIESEL FUEL. PART COST $17.00, LABOR $300.00, PISTON #5 MY WARRANT CARD HAS 50,000 AND OR 5 YEARS, THE DEALERSHIP ONLY PURCHED A 3 YEAR CONTRACT. (FYI ONLY) CONTINUED FOR AN ADDITIONAL 1000 MILES. PISTON #4 GAS LINE CRACHED AND DUMPING DIESEL FUEL. NOTE: 6 CYLINDERS, NEW PARTS HAVE DAMPER ON THE FUEL LINE, THIS MUST BE A KNOWN PROBLEM. 5 CYLINDERS NO DAMPER, THE 6 TH CYLINDER HAD THE DAMPER. I REPAIRED #4 CYLINDER IN 15 MIN. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE ORDERED 4 MORE PARTS SO I HAVE A SPAIR. PART NUMBER:420D/DDE A9060702433 I HAVE CONTACED DETROT DESOL, WITH NO RESPONSE. *TR
