2 TOYO TIRES BLEW OUT DURING RECENT TRIP. FIRST INCIDENT WAS ON AUG 9 WHILE TRAVELING ON I-95 IN NEW HAMPSHIRE. WITHOUT WARNING, THE LEFT REAR INNER TIRE BLEW. THIS REQUIRED EMERGENCY ROAD SERVICE, A TIRE CHANGE, AND SEVERAL HOURS DELAY OF OUR VACATION. THE SECOND INCIDENT WAS ON AUG 19 WHILE TRAVELING ON HWY 401 IN ONTARIO. THE LEFT FRONT TIRE BLEW OUT WITHOUT WARNING. THIS CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE MOTORHOME: FUEL FILLER NECK AND CAP RIPPED OFF, FENDER DAMAGED, FIBERGLASS DAMAGE, WHEEL DAMAGED, LOST HUBCAP. THIS ALSO REQUIRED EMERGENCY ROAD SERVICE, A TIRE CHANGE, AND OVER 3 HOURS DELAY ON OUR VACATION. *NM
REF. EA05011 ON 3/25/05 WHILE TRAVELING ON I75 NEAR WILDWOOD FL @ 60 MPH THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE ON MY 1999 COUNTRY COACH INTRIGUE BLEW OUT. TIRE PRESSURE AT START OF TRIP WAS 120 PSI. AFTER PULLING TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD RV WAS TOWED APPOX 70 MILES TO REPAIR FACILITY IN SEFFNER FL. TIRE REPLACEMENT, TOWING, REPAIR AND PAINT WAS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF $23000. COACH WAS PURCHASED IN JAN 04. NOTIFIED CCI I WAS THE NEW OWNER AND ASKED FOR INFO ON CORRECT TIRE PRESSURES. TIRES WERE SET AT PRESSURES ON PLATE IN COACH WAS INFORMED PRESSURE PLATE WAS OLD AND NOT CORRECT WAS SENT NEW PLATE BY CCI. NEW PLATE HAD 125 PSI FOR ALL TIRES THIS WAS HIGHER THAN OLD PRESSURES. SINCE MY RIMS WERE STAMPED AT 120 PSI MAX THAT IS WHAT I SET THEM TO. OLD TIRES WERE TOYOS 275-70R 22.5 ALL TIRES HAD DOT MFR DATES IN 99. *NM
