2013 Entegra Anthem Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Our database holds 4 NHTSA owner-reported complaints for the 2013 Entegra Anthem. Each one is a report filed by an owner or driver and published by NHTSA without most of them being verified. A complaint is not a confirmed defect, not a recall and not a manufacturer bulletin. Narratives are shown exactly as filed.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

REFERENCE NHTSA RECALL 16V-313 AND PREVIOUS SUBMISSION 11344194. OUR MOTORHOME WITH A SPARTAN CHASSIS SUFFERED AN EXHAUST BELLOWS FAILURE EXACTLY DESCRIBED IN RECALL 16V-313. IT IS OF THE CORRECT VINTAGE AND TYPE DESCRIBED BY 16V-313. SPARTAN CHASSIS COMPANY REFUSES TO MAKE REPAIRS OR HONOR THE RECALL 16V-313. THEY CLAIM THAT OUR UNIT IS EXCLUDED FROM THIS RECALL YET WILL NOT EXPLAIN HOW OR WHY IT IS NOT COMPLIANT WITH THE RECALL. WE FIT WITHIN THE TIME, DATES AND VINS DESCRIBED. SPARTAN REFUSES TO EXPLAIN WHY THE RECALL IS NOT BEING HONORED DESPITE THE FAILURE BEING A PICTURE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THE RECALL SITUATION. CAN YOU HELP ME GET AN ANSWER FROM THEM?

THE EXHAUST SYSTEM SEPARATED BETWEEN THE TURBO AND THE PARTICULATE FILTER ON THE CUMMINS DIESEL ENGINE. THIS IS IN A SPARTAN RV CHASSIS. THE HEAT FROM THE EXHAUST LEAK DUE TO THE FLEXIBLE EXHAUST BELLOWS CAUSED EXTENSIVE THERMAL DAMAGE. SEE NHTSA RECALL 16V-313 AS THAT RECALL DESCRIBES THE PROBLEM EXACTLY.

IN ADDITION, WATER ENTERED THROUGH THE ROOF AND WINDSHIELD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V33000 (VISIBILITY), BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ALLOW WATER IN AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,400.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
