What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2010 Fairplay Eve Lsv, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.

Reports naming the steering system — racks, columns, power-steering assist and steering linkage.
From owner reports, verbatim
I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM A NEARBY NEIGHBORS HOUSE WHEN SUDDENLY THE STEERING STOPPED WORKING. I WAS ABLE TO STOP SAFELY WHILE ON A GENTLE CURVE/DOWN SLOPE. AFTER STOPPING, I LOOK UNDERNEATH AT THE STEERING AND FOUND THAT THE STEERING KNUCKLE? WAS MISSING AND I THOUGHT MAY HAVE BROKEN OFF. A FEW FEET BEHIND THE VEHICLE, I FOUND THE STEERING KNUCKLE AND BOOT PROTECTOR. MY INSPECTION LOOK LIKE THE STEERING KNUCKLE IS INTACT AND JUST CAME LOOSE, FALLING OFF, CAUSING THE STEERING TO FAIL. I DREAD WHAT MAY HAVE HAPPENED IF I WERE GOING FASTER DOWNHILL ON A CURVE. I LIVE IN THE MOUNTAINS WHERE ALL THE ROADS ARE NARROW WITH CURVES AND A LOT OF UP HILL AND DOWN HILL AREAS. I WILL CLEAN THE KNUCKLE IN THE MORNING AND TRY AND REATTACH IT. HOWEVER, AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE, I DO NOT KNOW IF I CAN TRUST THE VEHICLE ANY MORE. *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
