TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 FLEETWOOD AMERICAN DREAM RV WITH A SPARTAN CHASSIS, MODEL NUMBER: 2242 (MOUNTAIN MASTER). THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND DRIVING BECAME DIFFICULT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY THE AIR COMPRESSOR PUMP. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TWICE FOR REPAIRS TO THE POWER STEERING AND THE AIR COMPRESSOR PUMP BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,916. UPDATED 05/08/12*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE POWER STEERING AND THE BRAKE FAILED WHILE MAKING A TURN. IT WAS DISCOVERED THE AIR COMPRESSOR FOR THE BRAKES WAS BROKEN. THE AIR COMPRESSOR WAS DESIGNED FOR THE POWER STEERING PUMP TO BOLT TO THE BACK SIDE OF THE AIR COMPRESSOR THAT RUNS THE POWER STEERING PUMP. UPDATED 05/30/12

CONSUMER IS NOT SATISFIED WITH THE WORK DEALER DID WITH RECALL AFFECTING TIRES. LATER MODELS HAD ALL TIRES REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY, BUT THE OWNER WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR TIRE REPLACEMENT FOR HIS 96. TIRE REPLACEMENT NECESSARY DUE TO THE POOR WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION OF THE VEHICLE. *AK *ML
