2005 Fleetwood Pegasus Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: WE HAD PURCHASED OUR 2005 FLEETWOOD PEGASUS FROM DAN GAMELS CAMP AMERICA IN 2007 (FRESNO, CA.). WE RECENTLY WENT ON A ROAD TRIP WITH OUR TRAILER AND THE SIDE PANELING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE RIPPED OFF AS WE WERE ON THE ROAD. AS OF TODAY, I HAVE NOT BE ABLE TO GET A HOLD OF THE DEALER BECAUSE THEY WENT OUT OF BUSINESS AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY WILL NOT REPAIR THE DAMAGES ON THE TRAILER. THE INSURANCE COMPANY CLAIMS IT HAS DRY ROT AND IT HAD BEEN LEAKING FOR A LONG TIME. THE TRAILER IS FAIRLY NEW AND WE WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO INVESTIGATE THE ISSUE. WE FEEL THAT THE TRAVEL TRAILER HAD DEFECTIVE SEALS ON THE TOP WHICH CAUSED THE WATER TO FLOW DOWNWARD RUINING THE ENTIRE TRAILER WITH DRY ROT AND CAUSING THE PANELING TO RIP OFF DURING OUR RECENT TRIP. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME THROUGH EMAIL OR PHONE. SINCERELY, [XXXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
