TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FLEETWOOD PROVIDENCE 39V RV. THE CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO EXIT THE RV, BECAUSE THE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. HE WAS NOT ABLE TO USE THE EMERGENCY EXIT BECAUSE THE SLIDERS WERE NOT EXTENDED AND THE EMERGENCY EXIT WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONSUMER HAD TO EXIT FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW. THE RV WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE EXPIRATION OF THE WARRANTY. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON A SEPARATE OCCASION. THE RV IS AWAITING REPAIR. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED OF THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 6,000. UPDATED 12/11/08. *LJ UPDATED 12/11/08.*JB UPDATED 03/18/09. *LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE DOOR JAMMING SEEMED TO BE A STRUCTURAL PROBLEM EVERY TIME THE RV WAS DRIVEN. WHEN THE CONSUMER TRIED TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE, IT WOULD NOT OPEN. THE LOCKSMITH THAT WAS CALLED WAS UNABLE TO GET THE DOOR OPEN AS WELL. THE LOCKSMITH HAD TO USE AN AIR BAG TO CREATE AN OPENING BETWEEN THE DOOR AND THE DOOR FRAME. HE THEN HAD TO REMOVE THE SHAFT THAT WAS THOUGHT TO BE CAUSING THE PROBLEM. UPDATED 03/18/09

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FLEETWOOD PROVIDENCE MOTOR HOME. IN MAY 2009 HE RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE #90209 FOR THE ELECTRICAL BATTERY CABLES THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE RECALL AND HE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COSTS. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER LOCATED IN INDIANA AND A REPRESENTATIVE ADVISED HIM THAT FLEETWOOD FILED BANKRUPTCY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,000.
