Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

HELLO I HAVE THIS 2013 FORD E250 VAN AND ITS STOP DRIVING AND TRANSMISSION STOP WORKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND THERE IS A LINK SAY ITS HAS RECALL ON SAME PROBLEM LISTED ON RECALL BUT TODAY I WENT TO FORD DEALER AND THEY LOOK AND SAY THERE IS NO RECALL ON TRANSMISSION ISSUE PLEASE READ THIS LISTED ABOUT TRANSMISSION PLEASE HELP : 2009-2016 Ford Econoline Recalled For Loss Of Motive Power Issue Ford has issued a recall for 2009-2016 Ford Econoline / E-Series models over a transmission component that could result in a motive power loss issue. The defect: affected vehicles contain a capacitive discharge weld within a coast clutch component in the transmission. A substandard weld may fatigue and fail, causing the loss of the ability to move the vehicle. All normal engine, braking, and steering functionality is unaffected. Reports indicate that the majority of weld failures occur when torque is highest, which is when the driver attempts to accelerate from a stop. The hazards: an elevated rate of loss of mobility in school bus and ambulance vehicle applications could present a unique risk to passengers or occupants including a loss of mobility in school bus applications may result in the transfer of unchaperoned children when the vehicle is immobilized in a roadway. Loss of vehicle mobility in ambulance applications may result in delay of patient treatment. Ford is unaware of any accidents resulting from this condition. Components: coast clutch capacitive discharge weld (inside transmission).

The vehicle Blew a spark plug while driving. It took place right as I attempted to accelerate up to highway speed of 50 MPH. When I had it checked the mechanic said the number 3 plug was blown out and I had a busted injector. Vehicle mileage is 164k. The repair was over $1100.00 with none being covered under my full coverage insurance policy. I need to let others know what to expect from their Ford vehicle... Found out that this is a frequent problem with Ford Engines 5.4 Liter V-8..
