The defect: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2026 Econoline vehicles. The heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) system blower motor may fail, which can cause the defrosting and defogging system to become inoperative.
The risk: An inoperative windshield defrosting and defogging system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the HVAC blower motor assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 30, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25SB4. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 28, 2025.

Manufacturer communication
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
