1992 Ford F-150 Body & structure Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the body or structure system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Body & structure reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. THIS IS SYMPTOMS (AND PROBABLY THE FIX) ARE IDENTICAL TO RECALL 92V006000. THIS HAS BEEN A COMMON PROBLEMS FOR MANY SIMILAR VEHICLES (F SERIES, BRONCO AND RANGER) IN THIS AREA. TEMPERATURES ARE ABOVE FREEZING DURING THE DAY AND FREQUENTLY DROP BELOW FREEZING AT NIGHT. THE LATCH ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN BENT APPARENTLY WHEN OPENED WHILE FROZEN IN THE MORNING. IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED REPEATEDLY BY BENDING THE ASSEMBLY BACK TO IT'S ORIGINAL POSITION. *TR
