2021 Ford F-350 Sd Owner Complaints

Vehicle went into limp mode and we towed it to the dealership. They ran diagnostics and found that the fuel filter was causing a fault for water in the fuel filter. They replaced the fuel filter and ran diagnostics again and it flagged failure for Low pressure fuel pump. They replaced the low pressure fuel pump and reran diagnostics. When they reran diagnostics it flagged for High pressure fuel pump failure and now they are in the process of tearing it down to the point of failure to find out the cause. My vehicles vin was not included in the original recall and believe that it should have been included.

I was driving my truck home when it completely shut off, I lost all power to everything, including the power steering brakes. When I got home, I did some research on the Internet to see possible causes. Apparently there is a service bulletin for the fuse box having water getting into it from the cowl of the hood, which states it can do exactly what happened to my truck? You can also keep your truck running and not shutting off and just to hold host of other safety issues with the service bulletin. . So I brought my truck in to get diagnosed by Ford and they did indeed say it was the fuse box under the hood that got water into it and shorted it out. Ford would not cover this part even though I have a factory extended warranty, annoying this is a common issue for 2020 to 2022 Ford trucks they issued a recall on expeditions in a couple other vehicles, but not Ford trucks specifically the super duties. How is this? OK that they don’t tell a customer who purchased a vehicle that this could potentially happen and then when it happens, they refuse to cover anything even though it’s their fault why it happened.

Vehicle Safety Complaint – 2021 Ford F-350 I am submitting this complaint regarding a safety-related failure involving my 2021 Ford F-350. While driving under normal conditions, the vehicle suddenly entered “limp mode,” resulting in a significant and immediate loss of power. Approximately 20 miles later, the vehicle completely shut down, leaving me stranded and requiring the truck to be towed to Gene Messer Ford for diagnosis and repair. The failure created a potentially dangerous situation, as the loss of power limited my ability to maintain safe speeds and respond to surrounding traffic conditions. After the vehicle was delivered to the dealership, it took approximately one week for inspection and an additional two weeks to complete repairs. During the repair process, I was informed that newly installed components—including the fuel rail and two fuel injectors—were defective and required replacement again. This raises concerns about whether the root cause of the failure was properly identified and whether contamination or systemic failure within the fuel system was present. I am also aware of widely reported issues involving high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) failures in Ford diesel engines, which can result in catastrophic damage to the entire fuel system, including injectors, fuel rails, and lines. Given the nature of my vehicle’s failure and the components involved, I am concerned that this incident may be related to a broader, known defect. This type of failure—sudden loss of power followed by complete shutdown—poses a serious safety risk, particularly if it occurs at highway speeds or in high-traffic conditions. I am requesting that this complaint be reviewed as part of a broader investigation into potential fuel system defects in Ford diesel trucks. I believe this issue may warrant further scrutiny and possible recall action to prevent similar incidents.

Repair remedy has not been addressed. Leaving the vehicle owners footing the bill when a fuel system problem arises. It's been since 2024 and FMC has not done anything about it. Cold side intercooler boost tube cracked due to constant vibration impact from coolant overflow hose routed directly above and on top of it. Part and vehicle is available for inspection. The split in the boost hose caused me to loose power while attempting to merge onto a road, almost being hit by another vehicle. After research there are multiple other instances of complaints of the same thing happening to others and multiple aftermarket manufacturers producing replacement and upgraded parts with references and warnings of the same thing happening for the last 10 years. No warning lamps or symptoms prior to failure. After failure no warning lamps but could hear an audible hiss. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the dealer or police. I was told by their parts people it is a regular failure and the part costs typically around $200 and they only sold it as a full part and not just the rubber replacement hose althought they are separate parts connected with hose clamps.

Back up camera screen goes blue when put in reverse. Then after 20 seconds says camera unavailable see dealer. I had dealer repair with a software reset. Worked for about 2 weeks then same symptoms. Noticed Ford has a recall for the same symptoms on other vehicles but for some reason F-350s are not a part of it. Would suspect the truck uses the same camera system as the other ford vehilces under the recall. Ford needs to step up and cover the F-350s

Upon starting the vehicle I get precollision not available warning light and hill decent control fault hill assist warning. Service steering and antilock brake brake fault lights. Ford motor company, and the local dealership have told me workarounds could be performed, but they would be done at my expense. A rearview camera on a pick up truck is used often and is a safety hazard when backing up Blind to low objects.
