Data refreshed
What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2022 Ford F-59, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

Each component in detail
What the reports in each category say, in the owners' own words
Engine
Reports naming the engine itself — including stalling, misfires, oil consumption, cooling and internal engine components.
From owner reports, verbatim
Vehicle has had electrical issues since purchased new. Ford service center could not fix after several attempts. Customer service/ warranty was unhelpful. All issues surfaced prior to 60k miles. Has had about 6 battery replacements in less than a year. Now at 68k miles vehicle has been at shop for weeks and being told a new engine is needed. Ford shop services commercial vehicles but won’t replace engine. Vehicle has to be transported to another ford shop for repair. One of the engine issues identified was lifters. From other FedEx contractors and Ford service shops and dealers, this had become a common issue with the 7.3 engine but is not yet a recall issue. My vehicle has low miles and low idle time yet needs a new engine. We need some intervention with Ford, who is not holding itself accountable.
