2006 Ford Stripped Chassis Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD MH STRIPPED CHASSIS EQUIPPED (NA) WITH SEVEN GOODYEAR G670 TIRES, SIZE 245/70/19.5. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THEY HAVE HAD MULTIPLE TIRE FAILURES. THE RIGHT REAR OUTSIDE TIRE BLEW OUT AND AT LEAST HALF OF THE TIRES ON THE VEHICLE WERE REPLACED BECAUSE THEY WERE "OUT OF ROUND". GOODYEAR REIMBURSED THE OWNER FOR THE TIRES. THE OTHER TIRES WERE BEING REPLACED TODAY SINCE THEY WERE ALSO OUT OF ROUND. GOODYEAR HAD NOT DECIDED IF THEY WOULD REIMBURSE THE CONTACT FOR THE TIRES. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 8,000.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD MH STRIPPED CHASSIS MOTOR HOME. UPON ENTERING A PARKING SPACE THE WINDSHIELD GLASS SEPARATED FROM THE BRACKETS WITHOUT PRIOR WARNINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING INSPECTED BY THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT BECAUSE HE WAS THE SECOND OWNER THEY WOULD NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE.
