What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2006 Ford Stripped Chassis, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.
Reports by component
Ranked by how many owner reports name each component category
- Brakes133.3%
- Tires & wheels133.3%
- Visibility133.3%
Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD MH STRIPPED CHASSIS EQUIPPED (NA) WITH SEVEN GOODYEAR G670 TIRES, SIZE 245/70/19.5. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THEY HAVE HAD MULTIPLE TIRE FAILURES. THE RIGHT REAR OUTSIDE TIRE BLEW OUT AND AT LEAST HALF OF THE TIRES ON THE VEHICLE WERE REPLACED BECAUSE THEY WERE "OUT OF ROUND". GOODYEAR REIMBURSED THE OWNER FOR THE TIRES. THE OTHER TIRES WERE BEING REPLACED TODAY SINCE THEY WERE ALSO OUT OF ROUND. GOODYEAR HAD NOT DECIDED IF THEY WOULD REIMBURSE THE CONTACT FOR THE TIRES. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 8,000.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD MH STRIPPED CHASSIS MOTOR HOME. UPON ENTERING A PARKING SPACE THE WINDSHIELD GLASS SEPARATED FROM THE BRACKETS WITHOUT PRIOR WARNINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING INSPECTED BY THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT BECAUSE HE WAS THE SECOND OWNER THEY WOULD NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE NOT APPLICABLE.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
