2026 Ford Transit Owner Complaints

I locked myself in the cargo area of a Ford Transit Cargo van. This is a safety issue as one should always be able to exit any part of the van. I had the key fob with me at the time. This is to recreate the problem: 1) Slam the door shut between the driver compartment and the cargo area. This locks the door, and it cannot be opened without a physical key. 2) Close the back doors, but not quite all the way. Then lock and unlock them with the key fob. The doors should have an inch or two of play, but won't close all the way, and won't open. 3) Close the sliding side door from the inside WHILE holding the inside handle in the open position. Now the doors won't open when the vehicle is locked or unlocked with they key fob. The sliding door can be opened from the outside. Interestingly, once the side door is opened from the outside, then the back doors can be opened from the outside.

On 04/14/2026, the second day after purchase.There was extreme vibration from the back of my vehicle at 40 -to- 45MPH and highway speeds 70-to-80MPH. after several service visits the vehicle still has vibration at 70 -to- 80MPH. At highway speeds there is so much vibration that window visors and seat arm rests are shaking. The Car Dealer ( ACE FORD of Woodbury ) did verify vibration during a "ride along" in person with a computer connected to the vehicle . After several attempts to balance tires. On 05/15 2026 we test drove other same "FORD Transit Vans 250" and found that all Vans were exhibiting same vibration . FORD determined that because all vehicles preform the same way that this was "deemed Characteristic"and no further action would be taken. At This point I brought the FORD TRANSIT to another Dealer ( WINNER FORD of Cherry Hill ) They preformed the same or similar diagnostics and found that ALL FOUR (4) tire rims were bent and indicated a replacement of the rims was required. I Then brought the TRANSIT back to ACE FORD where they did more testing and found that there was one (1) rim bent and replace tire and rim. After turning the vehicle back over to me I went on a test drive and found the same vibration problem at highway speeds form 72 - 80MPH . to date, I still have a VAN that I fell unsafe in at highway speeds.

The contact owns a 2026 Ford Transit. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle intermittently shuddered upon depression of the accelerator pedal, without warning. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer on numerous occasions; however, the dealer had failed to duplicate or diagnose the failure. On the third visit to the dealer, the contact was advised to test-drive two or three of the same model vehicles. The vehicles were test-driven. During the test-drive, both the contact and the mechanic experienced the same failure, but the dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. The dealer had notified the manufacturer of the failure; however, neither the dealer nor the manufacturer offered further assistance. The vehicle was then taken to another dealer, Winner Ford of Cherry Hill (250 Haddonfield-Berlin Rd, Cherry Hill Township, NJ 08034), where it was discovered that all four rims were bent. The dealer emphasized that the damage on the rear passenger-side rim was severe and a replacement was needed. The vehicle was taken back to the original dealer, who confirmed the damage and agreed to replace both the rim and the tire. The parts were replaced; however, the contact stated that during a post-repair test-drive, the failure returned at 75 MPH and faded away at 60 MPH. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 49.

The Side sliding door does not come with a standard child safety lock. My Child got out of their seat (figured out how to unbuckle themselves) and was able to unlock and open the door while the vehicle was in motion. Luckily no one was hurt.
