The defect: Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River) is recalling certain 2019-2022 Lone Star Vans built on Ram ProMaster chassis. Cracks in the microprocessor may cause the rearview camera image not to display properly.
The risk: A rearview image that does not display properly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect the rearview camera. Forest River will work with Ram to replace a damaged review camera, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 19, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-348-7440. Forest River's number for this recall is 82-2089 and Ram's number for this recall is 60C.

According to FCA Recall B3C/25V720: "The cooling fan may wear prematurely and have inadequate fuse protection, which can lead to a vehicle fire."

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; VISIBILITY/WIPER

According to FCA RECALL 25V552/59C/60C: "The rearview camera on your vehicle [1] may have thermal fatigue cracks in the microprocessor solder which can cause the rearview camera to display a blank/black/blue or inverted screen in place of the rearview image. A rearview image that is blank/black/blue or inverted reduces the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. The condition above fails to comply with the requirements of FMVSS No. 571.111 S6.2.6 requires that "The rear visibility system default to the rearview image being visible and meet the requirements of FMVSS No. 571.111 S6.2.1 (field of view) and S6.2.2 (image size) at the beginning of each backing event, regardless of any modifications to the field of view that the driver had previously selected..." Suspect vehicles may not display the rearview image during a backing event under certain conditions."
