2014 Forest River Cherokee Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

AT LESS THAN 1000 MILES ON THE GREY WOLF TRAVEL TRAILER, A TIRE DISINTEGRATED AND DAMAGED THE UNDER-LINING OF THE RECREATION VEHICLE ON MAY 27, 2016. THE TIRES WERE INFLATED TO 50PSI BEFORE STARTING THE TRIP. THEY WERE CHECKED FOR HEAT AT 100 MILES INTO THE TRIP AND NO EXTREME HEAT CONDITION WAS NOTICED. THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED ON MARCH 1, 2015, SO THE MANUFACTURERS OF THE TRAILER AND THE TIRES ARE CLAIMING THAT ANY WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED, NOW THAT IT IS MAY OF 2016. WE TRAVELLED ON WELL MAINTAINED ROADS AND DID NOT SEE ANY DEBRIS THAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THE ISSUE. I AM WONDERING IF THESE TIRES ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS DESCRIBED IN NHSTB ITEM 14T001. THANK YOU. *TR

I HAVE A RV RENTAL COMPANY WITH A FLEET OF 15 OF THESE TRAILERS, THE INTERIOR LIGHT WIRING OF THE LIGHTS WILL MELT AT THE BUTTON WHEN LEFT ON FOR A EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. I HAD THIS HAPPEN QUITE A FEW TIMES AND IT COULD POSE A FIRE SINCE ITS MELTING NEAR THE INSTALLATION ON THE UNIT. I HAVE PHOTOS TO SUPPORT MY CLAIM. *TT

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
