What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2015 Freightliner Business Class M2, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

Noticed the steering linkage had an unusual amount of free play, Thinking it might be the bearing had failed. Bought a new part and had the one on the truck taken apart. When it was removed, it was noted that the linkage was not installed correctly. There is a safety bolt that locks the linkage and prevent it from dislodging and it was installed but not in a way to prevent separation from the steering linkage from the steering wheel. In one of the pictures where i took the linkage and attached it the way it was installed on the truck to demonstrate how it was. All in all, about 1/4" of splined shaft was holding this steering wheel in place as you can see in the wear from the parts.
