CONSUMER STATES VEHICLE EXPERIENCED SEPARATION OF THE DRIVE LINE WHERE IT'S BOLTED ONTO THE TRANSMISSION. THE BOLTS SHEARED OFF CAUSING DRIVE LINE TO DROP, RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE FRAME, BODY AND EXHAUST SYSTEM.

WHEN APPLYING PRESSURE TO BRAKE PEDAL BRAKE PEDAL WILL GO TO THE FLOOR, AND WILL NOT ACTIVATE BRAKE SYSTEM. THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED APPROXIMATELY NINE TIMES WHILE TRAVELING AT ANY SPEED. DEALERSHIP HAS EXAMINED VEHICLE ,AND COULD NOT REPRODUCE PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / DOCUMENTATION. NOTE: CONSUMER RECEIVED AN INTERIM NOTIFICATION FROM THE MANUFACTURER ABOUT POSSIBLE BRAKE PROBLEMS FOR THIS VEHICLE (FL285AB).*AK

CONSUMER HAD TO PUMP BRAKES TO AVOID EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE.*AK FREIGHTLINER CORP STATED TO CONSUMER TO NOT LEAVE VEHICLE STANDING IDLE, TO PUMP THE BRAKES EVERY DAY TO BUILD UP PRESSURE AND DISPERSE THE AIR IN THE LINES, CORP IS ALSO INVITING CONSUMER TO REPLACE THE REAR BRAKES IF THEY FEEL IT IS NECESSARY. *SLC
