2013 Genuine Scooter Stella Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

WHEN I BOUGHT MY NEW 2013 GENUINE STELLA IN MAY OF 2013 FROM A DEALERSHIP IN WRENTHAM, MASSACHUSETTS FOR THE PRICE OF $3764, UNKNOWN TO ME AT THE TIME IT WAS SOLD WITH A BROKEN FUSE, WHICH PREVENTED THE TAIL LIGHT FROM WORKING PROPERLY. THIS CAUSED THE SCOOTER TO FAIL ITS INITIAL STATE INSPECTION. I WENT TO GET THIS FIXED UNDER WARRANTY AT ANOTHER MANUFACTURER-AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP IN BOSTON. ON JULY 27, 2013, DURING THE RIDE HOME FROM THE BOSTON DEALERSHIP, SCARCELY TEN MILES AFTER EMBARKING, THE GEARSHIFT SUDDENLY FAILED. THE TRANSMISSION THUS BECAME INOPERABLE AND MY SPEED QUICKLY DROPPED TO A CRAWL, WHICH NEARLY CAUSED ME TO GET REAR-ENDED. I WAS LEFT STRANDED ON THE STREET FOR FOUR HOURS WAITING FOR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. SEVERAL DAYS AFTER GETTING THE GEAR SHIFT FIXED MY FUEL GAUGE STOPPED WORKING AND SO DID THE SPEEDOMETER. ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS HAVE OCCURRED WITHIN THE FEW HUNDRED MILES. *TR
