TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2008 GEORGIE BOY CRUISE MASTER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, SMOKE EMITTED FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE IT BEGAN TO BURN. THE DRIVER, WITH THE HELP OF BYSTANDERS, ATTEMPTED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE WITH MULTIPLE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED AT THE SCENE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE DUE TO THE LOCATION OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE BURNED TO THE GROUND AND WAS DESTROYED. THE PASSENGER AND ONE OF THE HELPERS WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL AND TREATED FOR SMOKE INHALATION. BOTH FIRE AND POLICE REPORTS WERE FILED. THE REMNANTS OF THE VEHICLE WERE LIFTED BY A CRANE TO A TOW YARD AND WERE IN CUSTODY OF THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,000.
