2004 Georgie Boy Pursuit Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

DT: 2004 GEORGIE BOY CRUSH AIR - CHASSIS FREIGHTLINER XC. THIS IS A FULL AIR BRAKES UNIT, SOMEONE HAS CROSSED THE TWO AIR LINES TO REAR AXLE UNDER TENSION, AND ONE SAWED THE OTHER THROUGH IN 9300 MILES, THE OTHER WITHIN ITSELF WAS NEARLY THROUGH. THIS IS AN METAL ARMORED CABLE, AND THIS WAS AT THE INITIAL BUILD. THIS CAUSES THE AIR PRESSURE TO DROP FROM 125 POUNDS WHICH IS NORMAL TO LESS THAN 60 WITHIN 30 SECONDS, COMPLETE AIR LOSS. THIS CAUSES THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO GO OFF, NO MATTER WHAT SPEED ONE WAS TRAVELING. THIS DID NOT CAUSE ANY ACCIDENTS ONLY BECAUSE CONSUMER HAD HAND ON THE EMERGENCY BRAKE OVERRIDE. *AK
