2005 Georgie Boy Pursuit Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 GEORGIE BOY PURSUIT MOTOR HOME. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SLIDE OUT SHEER PIN WAS FRACTURED AND CAUSED THE SLIDE OUT ROOM TO ENGAGE WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THAT A WORN COLLAR IS WHAT CAUSED THE SHEER PIN TO BREAK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SHEER PIN WAS TOO SMALL FOR THE WEIGHT OF THE ROOM AND THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,000. UPDATED 12/01/10. *LJ UPDATED 12/09/10

THE OVERHEAD CABINET CONTAINING TV CAME SMASHING DOWN ONTO DASHBOARD AND INTO THE WINDSHIELD CAUSING DIFFICULTY DRIVING AND EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE RV. AUTOMIX.NET SHOWS A RECALL #06V267000 FOR CERTAIN 2005-2007 GEORGIEBOY PURSUIT MOTORHOME SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS PROBLEM. HOWEVER, IN CONTACTING THE MANUFACTURER, THEY ADVISED US THAT OUR MOTORHOME IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE RECALL NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED TO COVER ALL COACHES WITH TV'S INSTALLED AS OURS WAS. THEY DENY ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER. TOLD US TO GO THROUGH OUR AUTO INSURANCE. FORTUNATELY FOR US, WE WERE ABLE TO SEE THE BRING THE MOTORHOME TO A SAFE STOP. *TR
