What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1993 GMC K2500, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

I TRIED TO STOP IN WHICH I HAD ENOUGH TIME TO STOP THERE AND I REAR ENDED A VEHICLE MY BRAKES WENT THE FLOOR. THERE WERE NO BLACK MARKS SHOWING ANY SKID. I HAVE LOOKED ON THE INTERNET ABOUT THIS PROBLEM WITH THE ABS BRAKES AND FOUND THAT THERE IS IN FACT PROBLEMS. BUT THE DEALERSHIP SAID NO TROUBLE CODE WAS SENT SO THEY CAN'T HELP US. I ALSO HAD A SECOND EPISODE OF THE BRAKES GOING TO THE FLOOR AND ENDED UP IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. THE INFORMATION ON THE INTERNET INFORMATION STATED THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS BUT WITH NO FIX FOR THE PROBLEM. WE FEEL THAT SOMEONE REALLY NEEDS TO RESEARCH THIS AND FIND A FIX. AS THIS IS THE 3RD VEHICLE WE HAVE OWNED WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. YES ON TWO OF THE VEHICLES THERE WAS RECALLS. BUT THE CURRENT 1993 TRUCK NO RECALL HAS BE MADE. CAN YOU HELP US? THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.*AK
