1995 GMC Pickup Visibility Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the visibility system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Visibility reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

GMC SENT A RECALL LETTER IN FEBRUARY 2003 AND STATED WIPERS FOR GMC TRUCKS WOULD STOP WORKING INTERMITTENTLY. THE LETTER ALSO STATED IF YOU HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM, TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO A GMC DEALER FOR REPAIRS AT NO COST TO YOU. THE LETTER DID NOT REQUIRE THE REPAIR BE DONE, ONLY INDICATED IF YOU HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. I NEVER HAD THE ITERMITTENT PROBLEM, MY WIPERS STOPPED WITH NO WARNING IN FEBRUARY 2005. GMC REFUSES TO MAKE THESE NECESSARY COSTLY REPAIRS EVEN THOUGH IT IS A LIFE THREATENING MATTER.*AK
