1995 Harley-Davidson Flhr Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1995 Harley-Davidson Flhr, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

ON AUGUST 7TH 2010 AT 3:30PM. WE WERE HEADING EAST ON INTERSTATE 90 AT A RATE OF 70MPH.. 10 MILES FROM MITCHELL, S.D. THE REAR TIRE BLEW. THE BIKE BEGAN TO FISHTAIL, WE ATTEMPTED TO SLOW DOWN BUT WITH THE FISHTAIL WAS GETTING WILDER. WE HAD GO IN THE DITCH TO AVOID A HEAVILY CONCRETED OVERPASS WITH GUIDE WIRE BEFORE AND AFTER. MY WIFE WAS ABLE TO BAIL OUT IN SOME TALL GRASS AND WALK AWAY WITH MINIMAL INJURY. WHILE I SUSTAINED SEVERAL BROKEN BONES ALONG MY SPINES AND TWO BROKEN RIBS. AND OF COURSE I WILL BE LEFT WITH HUGE MEDICAL BILLS. THE TIRE IN QUESTION WAS IN GOOD SHAPE. PROPER INFLATION AND WITH LESS THAN 3000 MILES BEFORE OUR TRIP STARTED. AS OF YET, WE HAVE SETTLED FOR THE BIKE. I AM TOLD THAT STATE FARM IS IN POSSESSION OF THE BIKE AND THE TIRE. *TR
