What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2014 Harley-Davidson Flstc, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

WHILE SITTING AT A RED LIGHT, MY CLUTCH DISENGAGED CAUSING MY MOTORCYCLE TO LUNGE FORWARD. I HAD TO APPLY BRAKE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CHANGE GEAR TO NEUTRAL AS CLUTCH WOULD NOT ENGAGE. LUCKILY I WAS FIRST IN LINE AND WAS ABLE TO MOVE IT INTO CROSSWALK IN FRONT OF MEDIAN. I AM NOT SURE IF IT WAS BECAUSE BIKE WAS HOT AS AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES IT RAN NORMAL INCLUDING CLUTCH. HOWEVER, RESEARCHING PROBLEM I NOTICED OTHER MAKES SAME YEAR HAD RECALL ON CLUTCH AND THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE USEFUL INFORMATION IN CASE OTHERS HAVE SIMILAR INCIDENCES TO PREVENT SOMETHING SERIOUS FROM HAPPENING. AS I JUST HAPPENED TO GET LUCKY WHEN IT HAPPENED, I COULD HAVE EASILY LUNGED OUT INTO CROSS TRAFFIC AT THE INTERSECTION AND/OR HIT PERSON IN FRONT OF ME IF THERE WAS ONE. *TR
