HARLEY DAVIDSON HORN DOESN'T WORK. THE HORN WAS REPLACED AT 1000 MILES. STILL DOESN'T WORK. IT SOUNDS LIKE A WOUNDED DUCK. HARLEY DEALER SAYS THE HORN IS FINE AND THAT YOU MUST BE RUNNING THE ENGINE AT 2000 RPM FOR THE HORN TO WORK. IT WORKED FINE WHEN PURCHASED. I SAY ITS A DEFECT IN MANUFACTURING. IF YOU NEED THE HORN YOU MUST BE DRIVING AT 2000 RPM OR BETTER. MAKES NO SENSE. YOU MUST INVESTIGATE THIS PROBLEM. SOMEONE WILL GET HURT. *NM

2004 FLHTCUI HARLEY-DAVIDSON HORN ISSUE. DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY. IT APPEARS THAT NOT ENOUGH POWER IS GETTING TO THE HORN AND IT BECOMES A 50-50 CHANCE THAT THE HORN MIGHT WORK. TOOK IT TO THE HD SHOP 3 TIMES AND ALL 3 TIMES THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. THE SECOND TIME I EVEN PAID FOR A NEW HORN AS TO ELIMINATE ONE POSSIBLE ITEM. SAME ISSUE WITH NEW HORN. THE 3RD TIME THE HD SHOP SAID THAT HARLEY-DAVIDSON SAID THAT THE BIKE NEEDS TO BE RUNNING FOR THE HORN TO WORK CORRECTLY. AGAIN THE SHOP COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. EACH TIME I TOOK THE BIKE HOME FROM THE SHOP, THE HORN ONLY WORKED 50% OF THE TIME. HOT, COLD,DRY, WET, LOW SPEED, HIGH SPEED...IT DOESN'T MATTER. THIS STARTED AROUND JUNE, 2005. BIKE IS STILL IN WARRANTY. *NM
