2008 Heartland Sundance Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Our database holds 3 NHTSA owner-reported complaints for the 2008 Heartland Sundance. Each one is a report filed by an owner or driver and published by NHTSA without most of them being verified. A complaint is not a confirmed defect, not a recall and not a manufacturer bulletin. Narratives are shown exactly as filed.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

MAY 2013 ON OUR SUNDANCE FIFTH WHEEL WE HAD POWER LONG TOW MAX TIRES 225/75R15 LOAD RANGE E. THIS WAS A HIGHER WEIGHT RATING THAN ORIGINALLY ON THE TRAILER. WHILE TRAVELING ON HWY 50 AT 55 MPH THE DRIVERS REAR TIRE BLEW OUT. ONCE PULLED OVER IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE OTHER 3 TIRES HAD TREAD SEPARATION AS WELL. THE TIRES WERE 3 YEARS OLD WITH APPROXIMATELY 5,000 MILES ON THEM. THE TIRE SHOP REPLACED ALL THE TIRES WITH THE SAME MODEL. IN JUNE 2014, ALL 4 TIRES HAD TREAD SEPARATION, ONE CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE TRAILER. TIRE TEMPS WERE TAKEN IMMEDIATELY AFTER AND THEY WERE ALL IN NORMAL RANGE. *TR
