What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1999 Holiday Rambler Vacationer, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 HOLIDAY RAMBLER VACATIONER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP FAILED. DURING THE REPAIR, THE METAL TUBE IN THE FUEL LINE THAT CONNECTS TO THE FUEL INJECTOR DISINTEGRATED AND DRIPPED ONTO THE MANIFOLD. IT TOOK THE MECHANIC MORE THAN FOUR DAYS TO REPAIR THE FUEL PUMP. WHILE TRAVELING TO FLORIDA, FUEL BEGAN LEAKING OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS REQUIRED TO PAY $60 TO HAVE FORD DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR (PART NUMBER F7UZ9F792DC) WAS NOT IN STOCK PER THE MANUFACTURER AND THE DEALER. HOWEVER, THE PARTS THAT THEY FOUND HAVE 80,000 MILES. THE CONTACT WANTS BRAND NEW PARTS FOR HER VEHICLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 25,250 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.
THE GAS TANK (75 GALLON) CAN ONLY BE FILLED 50% CAPACITY AND REFUELING REQUIRES 40 MINUTES WHICH ONLY ALLOWS APPROXIMATELY 4 HOURS DRIVING TIME. NLM
