2017 Husqvarna Fe 501 S Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THE CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER SEAL FAILED MAKING THE CLUTCH INOPERABLE. I WAS MOVING ON A DIRT ROAD AT THE TIME MAKING IT MORE DIFFICULT TO SHIFT GEARS. THE SEAL HAD A RIP CAUSING IT TO FAIL. THE MOTORCYCLE HAD 813 MILES AT THE TIME OF THE FAILURE AND IT WAS LESS THAN A YEAR SINCE I TOOK POSSESSION. IN READING ON THE INTERNET FOUND OTHER COMPLAINTS, WHICH THERE WERE MANY, THE FAILURE OCCURRED IN LESS THAN A THOUSAND MILES. THIS IS A DANGEROUS CONDITION, HAD I BEEN IN TRAFFIC I WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DISENGAGE THE ENGINE FROM THE WHEEL. IT MAY HAVE CAUSED ME TO REAR END SOMEONE.
