The defect: NAVISTAR IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2005-2011 INTERNATIONAL 3200IM, AND MODEL YEAR 2007-2011, IC BUS MODEL HC BUSES, MANUFACTURED FROM AUGUST 16, 2004, THROUGH MAY 13, 2010. WHEN THE BUS KNEELING FEATURE IS ACTIVATED, THE REAR BRAKE LINE MAY BE PINCHED BY A FRAME MEMBER CAUSING THE REAR BRAKES TO DRAG.
The risk: BRAKES THAT DRAG COULD OVERHEAT AND MAY LEAD TO A FIRE, WHICH MAY CAUSE PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR DEATH.
The remedy: NAVISTAR WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL INSTALL A CLIP TO ENSURE THAT THE BRAKE LINE CANNOT BE PINCHED. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 27, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NAVISTAR AT 1-800-448-7825.

The defect: NAVISTAR IS RECALL 7,521 MY 2009 INTERNATIONAL MODEL TRUCKS AND MY 2009 AND 2010 IC SCHOOL AND TRANSIT BUSES MANUFACTURED FROM APRIL 1, 2008 TO DECEMBER 12, 2008, EQUIPPED WITH A HORTON 2-SPEED FAN DRIVE, IDENTIFIED BY FEATURE CODE 12THT. THE FASTENERS THAT CONNECT THE MAGNET BRACKETS TO THE AIR CHAMBER HOUSING OF THE 2-SPEED ENGINE FAN COULD FAIL RESULTING IN THE MAGNET BRACKET BEING THROWN FROM THE FAN DRIVE AND THE VEHICLE AT HIGH SPEED.
The risk: THE BRACKET COULD SEPARATE AND STRIKE A PERSON OR MOTOR VEHICLE RESULTING IN PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, AND/OR DEATH.

The defect: NAVISTAR IS RECALLING 977 MY 2009 INTERNATIONAL 3200, 4100, 4300, 4400 TRUCKS AND IC BUS HC COMMERCIAL BUSES. THE FRONT AXLE BEARINGS IN SOME CASES WERE NOT SUFFICIENTLY LUBRICATED DURING ASSEMBLY WHICH MAY RESULT IN BEARING SEIZING OR POSSIBLE WHEEL SEPARATION.
The risk: A SEIZED BEARING ON THE FRONT AXLE COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH WHICH MAY RESULT IN PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR DEATH.
The remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE FRONT AXLE BEARINGS. BEARINGS WILL BE LUBRICATED AND REPLACED IF REQUIRED. THE RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 19, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NAVISTAR AT 1-800-448-7825.

ODI became aware of three bus fires that originated in the area of the transmission on the subject vehicles through media reports.Inspection of the vehicles indicated that the static parking brake, which is located behind the transmission, may have been applied as a result of an air leak while the vehicles were in motion.Under certain driving conditions, the parking brake can apply without the audible driver warning engaging.Parking brake application while the vehicle is in motion may result in a fire.To address the concerns of this investigation, Navistar has issued a recall (12V-479) that will add a switch to detect parking brake lever movement while the vehicle is in motion (in addition to the existing switch that monitors brake line air pressure) and set an additional warning light to warn the driver of application of the parking brake.Navistar's recall actions address the issues raised by this investigation and as a result this investigation is closed.

As files are added or removed, the comparison runs automatically with no manual action required. The program presents results in an interactive table that shows feature codes, descriptions, access levels, and whether each feature is present in each selected file. Built-in search, filtering, and sorting make it easy to locate specific features or focus only on differences between files. Column visibility can be customized to show or hide descriptions and access information as needed. Users can remove files individually or clear all files at once, with results updating instantly. The tool also includes reporting and export options that reflect exactly what is visible on screen, allowing results to be printed, copied, saved as text, or exported to CSV for use in Excel or other spreadsheet tools. In some geographic areas, ambient temperatures reaching below 15°F (-10 °C), including high levels of humidity, an operator may experience engine stalling, low performance, and or poor aftertreatment performance. This is caused by condensation accumulating and freezing within the Charge Air Cooler (CAC); affecting air flow into the engine. This article lists all the currently available winter front covers that can be installed on the front grille and bumper to reduce cold air flow to the engine compartment.
