1992 Isuzu Amigo Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

THROTTLE CABLE STUCK ON MY 1992 ISUZU AMIGO. FORTUNATELY, IT WAS WHILE STARTING UP AND THE CAR WAS IN NEUTRAL. THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED I CALLED ISUZU AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SO I TOOK CAR TO LOCAL REPAIR SHOP AND HAD THE THROTTLE CABLE REPLACED (PARTS 31.25 LABOR $82.50 = $113.75 TOTAL). I THEN FOUND THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID 04V99000 ASSOCIATED WITH THE 1992 ISUZU TROOPER. OURS IS A 1992 ISUZU AMIGO. BY CHANCE, ARE THESE SPEED CONTROL CABLES SIMILAR? *JB
