1997 Isuzu Npr Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

CITY OF TEMPE ARIZONA IS FORCING VEHICLE OWNERS TO REDUCE THE OVERALL LENGTH OF THEIR VEHICLE (21 FEET) TO PARK AT THEIR HOMES. THE MOST ECONOMICAL WAY TO COMPLY IS TO CHOP IN THE MIDDLE TO KEEP THE TOW ARRANGEMENT WHICH WEAKENS THE STRENGTH AND INTEGRITY OF THE METAL CAUSING A HAZARD FOR THE PUBLIC. THIS INCLUDES TRAILERS IN TRAILER PARKS. *TR

FAN CLUTCH HAS GONE OUT TWO TIMES ALREADY. ISUZU TOLD US IN 98 THAT THE FAN CLUTCH WAS DEFECTIVE AND A NEW STYLE WAS TO BE BUILT. IN FEB OF 1999 THEY FINALLY CAN OUT WITH A NEW MODEL. TIME WILL TELL IF IT WAS A NEW MODEL OF ANOTHER LIE. WE ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE ABS BRAKE WARNING CABLE BEING WORN THROUGH CAUSING LOSS OF ABS SYSTEM. MANUFACTURER SAYS IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, YET I CANT SEE WHY A BRAKE LINE TO WEAR THROUGH AT 84000 MILES ON HIGHWAY ROADS.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
