2004 Itasca Horizon Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

OUR MOTORHOME HAD A HAMSAR ELECTRO-MAGNETIC FLASHER WHICH IS USED TO MAKE THE HAZARD LIGHTS AND LEFT/RIGHT SIGNAL BLINK. IT IS LOCATED IN THE FUSE BOX IN THE OUTSIDE COMPARTMENT, NEAR DRIVER'S SIDE. IT STARTED SMOKING AND SMELLED BURNED, LOTS OF SMOKE STARTED COMING INTO THE MOTORHOME. THE HAZARD WERE NOT IN USE AT THE TIME - WE WERE JUST PARKED AND IT WAS OFF. WE REMOVED THE DEVICE AND IT WAS ENTIRELY MELTED. NOT SURE WHAT CAUSED THIS, BUT IF WE WERE NOT IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME IT STARTED BURNING/MELTING, IT WOULD HAVE CAUSED A FIRE. I HAVE A PICTURE OF THIS IF NEEDED. *TR

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
