2000 Jaguar S-Type Brakes Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the brake system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Brakes reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

I OWN A 2000 JAGUAR S-TYPE. EVERYTIME I PARK ON A SLOPE/INCLINE THE AUTOMATICALY LOCKS UP. MEANING WHEN I AM READY TO LEAVE FROM PARKING SPOT , THE SHIFTER WILL NOT MOVE FROM PARK TO DRIVE/REVERSE/NEUTRAL. IT LOCKS UP. I HAVE TO HAVE A TOW TRUCK COME MOVE IT TO A FLAT SURFACE. THE CAR HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER 3 TIMES, AND THE HAVE NO FIX. THE JAG DEALER AND JAGUAR CORP. TRY KEEP TELLING ME IT'S NOT A DEFECT. FROM ASKING AROUND I FOUND OUT THIS PROBLEM IS CONSITENT IN ALL THE JAGUAR S-TYPE MODEL. SO NOW UNLESS I FIND A FLAT SURFACE TO PARK I AM IN TROUBLE. WHAT IS GOING WITH THIS?
