What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2024 Jayco Fifth Wheel North Point, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

We bought our 2024 Jayco North Point 390 CKS in Jan. of 2024. We have had axle and wheel issues within 6 months of owning the RV. We contacted Jayco because we have had 5 Wheels crack on our RV, had to replace 6 tires, and recently we had to replace 2 axles. We told Jayco about this and that their product has put my family in danger multiple times, 1 time going down the road at 60 MPH and a blow out on the back of the RV. Another time, we had both wheels fly off the axles and almost flipped out vehicle. This is when we needed to new Axles not even 2 year old yet. Now 6 months later same issues with Tire, because of the AXLES having issues. I told Jayco that professional AXLE companies that have looked at my issue say, the AXLES they put on this is not the right ones. I'm not sure where to go from here. Jayco will not respond, I am out 1000's k of dollars because of their product. But they won't do nothing about it, and I have seen others on the road having the same issues. I'm getting ready to file a lawsuit again Jayco because of this, my family has been in danger multiple times because of their faulty parts and product.
GCWR for the RV is 19140 lbs. However, the axel is rated at 7,000 lbs and since there are 2 axels that capacity maxs out at 14,000 lbs. I am experiencing abnormal thread wear. I have requested that Jayco correct this but they are not responding to my email.

Purchased this unit in Nov last year and had brake issues. Camping World has been good working to fix the issue but Dexter Tow Assist is not working. When other vehicle is attached to the 5th wheel, brakes dont work. Hooked my truck to a Seismic 5th wheel with Tow Assist, worked fine. Its not working on my unit and I have NO BRAKES. Components have been replaced but Dexter does not seem to be in any hurry to fix the problem. I have towed other 5th wheels without Tow Assist with no problem and again, the Seismic didnt have a problem with my brake controller.
