The contact owns a 2024 Eagle RV 26REC Trailer. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, there was a clicking and creaking sound while towing the RV. A dealer was contacted. The RV was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the contact was informed that the RV was operating as intended. The contact stated that two days after retrieving the RV from the dealer, the RV was then towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the wheel bearings were loose, the rear axle shackles were upside down, the breakaway system had failed on the cable for the RV, the leaf springs were showing signs of flattening, the spring hangers were misaligned, the springs eye bushing were not operating as designed, there was no indication that there was grease on the suspension, the shackles and hardware were inoperable, and the equalizer bushings were inoperable. The RV was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,500.
