2013 Jayco Eagle Premier Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

POWER KING TOW MAX 235 80 16 TIRES LESS THAN 3000 MILES CAME NEW ON 2013 JAYCO EAGLE PREMIER 351 RLTS. FIRST TIRE BLEW OUT 60 MILES INTO TRIP. 30 MILES LATER WAS TOLD TO PULL OVER BY TRUCKER PASSING US AND HAD ONE TIRE FLAT WITH 8 INCH CHUNK MISSING AND THE REAR TIRE SAME SIDE HAD A 8INCH BUBBLE ABOUT TO BLOW. UPON REPLACING ALL FOUR TIRES IT WAS NOTICED THAT EVEN THE FOURTH TIRE WAS DEFORMING AND SOON TO EXPLODE. STILL HAVE A SPARE TIRE OF SAME MAKE THAT WILL BE REPLACED ASAP. THIS COULD HAVE LEAD TO A MAJOR ACCIDENT HAD THE TRUCKER NOT WARNED US. JAYCO HAS SINCE CHANGED TO ANOTHER TIRE COMPANY. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THESE DEFECTIVE TIRES. TRAILER WAS NOT OVER WEIGHT, SPEED WAS 65 MPH AND TIRE PRESSURE WAS CHECKED PRIOR TO LEAVING THAT MORNING. THERE WAS DAMAGE DONE BY BLOWOUT.
