2009 Jayco Jay Feather Exp Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

WE HAVE A JAYCO 23B. BOUGHT ON JUNE 14TH. OUR FIRST TRIP WAS JUNE 19TH THROUGH JUNE 21ST. OUR CHILDREN WERE ASLEEP IN THE FRONT BUNK AND, OUR 2 YEAR OLD LITTLE BOY (37LBS) FELL FROM THE BED TO THE GROUND. WE THOUGHT THAT WE MAYBE DIDN'T FASTEN THE SNAPS AND VELCRO PROPERLY. I PLACE MY SON WITH MY WIFE IN THE BACK BUNCK AND I SLEPT WITH MY DAUGHTER IN THE FRONT. A COUPLE HOURS LATER MY DAUGHTER DID THE SAME THING AND FELL TO THE GROUND. SHE HAS BRUISES TO HER RIGHT THIGH, MY LITTLE BOY SEEMS TO BE FINE. WE FELL THIS DEFECT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. THE SNAP AND VELCRO SYSTEM IN THE FRONT OF OUR BUNK IS INADEQUATE. *TR

Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
