I am reporting a safety concern involving my 2019 Jeep. The primary systems of concern include the Forward Collision Warning/Automatic Emergency Braking system, front camera/driver-assistance system, electrical/communication network, PCM/ECM communication system, transmission/driveability system, and related control modules or sensors. While driving, the Jeep’s forward collision system activated unexpectedly. The vehicle reacted as though it detected an imminent collision, even though there was no appropriate reason for the system to activate in that manner. This created a serious safety risk because unexpected activation of a collision-warning or braking-related system can cause sudden driver reaction, loss of control, or a rear-end collision with vehicles behind me. This incident did not occur in isolation. The vehicle had been brought to the selling/servicing dealership, Bill Luke Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Phoenix, Arizona, numerous times before and after the safety incident. Issues began as early as approximately 3,523 miles. Between 2019 and 2025, the vehicle was taken to the dealership more than 19 times for recurring mechanical, electrical, diagnostic, and safety-related concerns. However, the vehicle was inspected multiple times by Bill Luke Chrysler, including several visits before the forward collision incident. My concern is that these may not be isolated failures, but part of a broader electrical, communication, sensor, or control-module issue affecting multiple systems.I also have concern that the vehicle may have had pre-sale service or diagnostic history that was not disclosed to me at the time of purchase. An internal dealership record appears to indicate that repair orders were purged from the dealership’s system on 10/29/2018, at approximately 8 miles and before I purchased it new in 2019. I was not provided an explanation of what repair orders were purged, why they were purged.

I just had a recall repair for my ABS system which was electrical done to my 2019 jeep grand Cherokee. I drove off the lot with it but the next day it wouldn't start, I called the dealership back for an inspection but they stated I would have to pay for a diagnostic. I stated the code that came up when I hooked my OBD scanner up the code for my park, neutral, switch input circuit popped up. I told the dealership numerous times about the code but they are ignoring the code and saying it is my starter and batteries. Mind you I take it to this dealership all the time I never once heard them say I needed any of these things until now. So I told them I need a diagnostic on the electrical issue but once again they are brushing off the circuit code and jumping to the starter but stated I would have to pay $2,319 for a starter and see what comes up, which means spending money for something that is not the problem.

In November 2024, I went to get into my 2019 Jeep Cherokee (17,000 miles). At that time, numerous lights started flashing on the vehicle dash (start-stop, stability control and check engine). I took the vehical to the nearest Jeep dealership, Valor Ford in Junction City. They indicated this was a known issue but unresolved by Jeep (received recall notice two weeks later). I was leaving for vacation and would be back in two weeks, rather than leave the car sit at the dealership I offered to take it home and bring it back when I returned. I was told by the technician that was not advisable because my brakes could go out. I of course decided to leave at the dealership. Upon return, they indicated my jeep could be picked up. My husband spoke with the technician because we had received the recall notice by then and asked how they fixed the problem when Jeep had said there was no solution yet. He, the technician, indicated they had ordered the part which is the same part that went out previously so it wasn't really fixed. We have been waiting over a year, I will only drive locally because I am afraid of the ramifications of this part. Not only is it not fixed but they charged us $1,200 to not fix our car and refused reimbursement. This was our vehicle to travel in our retirement years and for the last year it has been an anchor.

I am reporting a serious safety failure related to the ABS/ESC recall on my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Parts have not been available for over a year, and my vehicle has now experienced the dangerous conditions described in the recall. Before the failure, while stopped at a red light in Drive with my foot firmly on the brake, the vehicle suddenly rolled backward on its own. I had to forcefully press the brake to stop it. This should never happen and indicates brake system failure. About 10 minutes later, while driving on the highway, the vehicle experienced a sudden safety system failure. Multiple warning lights came on (ABS, ESC, brake system, check engine), the accelerator pedal became unresponsive, a burning smell came from the vehicle, and I temporarily lost control. I could not pull over immediately due to traffic, which created a very dangerous situation. The vehicle eventually became undriveable and required towing. I am thankful my children were not in the car. This is an extreme safety hazard. Stellantis still has no parts available and has not provided a repair or transportation option. This forces owners to choose between parking their vehicle indefinitely or driving a known unsafe vehicle. I request NHTSA review the lack of parts and enforcement of this recall, as it is putting families at risk. The car gets started, message pops up saying to safely put the vehicle into park it will shut off soon. It then starts shaking, will not allow you to shift gears, revs up still shaking, it then shuts off and all of the dash panels messages are popping up, ABS, a message to service the air suspension, engine light, car not in park (can't shift it) (we have put tire chucks to hopefully keep it from moving), etc are flashing as well as the interior lights, exterior lights flashing. The only way to get all of the lights to stop flashing is to unhook the brand new auxiliary battery. Mechanic has scanned for codes, more than 60 appear. Once we are able to reattach the battery, we were able to start it, put it into gear before all of the messages and lights started going off again.

Vehicle will all suddenly while driving on the roads with speed, dash will blink and start saying to select the gear. At this point vehicle either has to be put in parking (while trying to figure out where to pull over) and reselect the gear, or completely shut off, re start and select gear in order to drive. When the dash blinks vehicle accelerator just revs the engine, loss of power occurs. This especially happens after a fuel up and you move away from gas station.

The unit has been taken to Chrysler dealers in Puerto Rico three times. On each visit, we were charged $120.00 for a total of $360.00 for the computer scan. We were charged for an electrical module, part no. 68442478AB, worth $406.59. The situation has not been resolved. The vehicle has abnormalities in the braking system, which consequently affects other functions and even drains the batteries. I would like to sell the unit, but it is not resalable due to the unresolved recall. I need Chrysler to offer me options such as a refund or another unit without defects.

While my wife was driving her Jeep, everything seemed to fail. All the gauges were gone, no speedometer, no functions working. Every warning light came on. Display stated not to shut off the engine as it may not restart. She stated nothing worked in the vehicle, turn signals, brake lights may not have been working. And what if this happened at night? Would the headlights have worked? She drove the vehicle to our local Jeep dealer where they were unable to "get it in for a week". I had the vehicle towed to another dealer about 30 miles away. I provided them with the error codes the first dealer pulled and a picture of her dash display. They stated the error didn't occur for them, they drove it 13 miles and no errors were detected so they said they cannot troubleshoot it. It was a major can bus failure. If this had been at night I wonder if the light would have even worked. Extremely unsafe not knowing if any of the systems would have functioned. I was told to call the Customer support line. This is a rabbit hole. All calls go to India, they way they will call you back with in 24 hours... NOT TRUE. After days of trying to call, I finally got in touch with someone, they simply say we will call the dealer. I am out of pocket 1,000.00 for a rental car (even though we have max care which covers a loaner) and had to pay for the tow out of pocket. Stellantis is HORRIBLE no customer service at all, it turned into a mess! I am attaching the pictures of the errors and the dash display. Very poor response from the Jeep dealers. It seemed as if they didn't want to take the time to look or check out anything.

The ABS module and ESC system malfunctioned. A message stating “Service Electronic Stability Control” appeared on the dashboard. The component is still installed in the vehicle and is available for inspection upon request. The ESC warning indicates that the system may be disabled, which could compromise the vehicle’s stability and braking performance—especially in emergency or poor weather conditions. I do not feel safe driving the vehicle, as the malfunction may affect the ability to stop or control the vehicle properly, increasing the risk of an accident. I contacted the dealership and an independent mechanic and they confirmed the issue is related to Recall Z48. However, they also stated that no repair or remedy is currently available. The “Service Electronic Stability Control” message appeared on the dashboard. This was the first noticeable symptom, and it started about 2-3 years ago. Also, my check engine light is on all the time. I cannot remote start. I few times, I’ve had issues with the brakes and my jeep not starting.

I am experiencing a delamination issue with the Uconnect screen in my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee High Altitude. I noticed this issue years ago when my car was still under warranty but thought it was a protective film on the Uconnect screen. Now, the Uconnect screen in my vehicle randomly turns off while driving which is a serious safety issue, especially when using the navigation system. This is a well-documented problem affecting many owners which typically manifests as bubbling or peeling of the screen's surface, leading to erratic touchscreen behavior such as phantom inputs, random changes in settings, or complete unresponsiveness. The root cause of the delamination appears to be the degradation of the "LOCA" adhesive between the screen's layers, often exacerbated by heat. This degradation can lead to the separation of the screen layers, resulting in the aforementioned symptoms. The problem affects various Uconnect systems, notably the 8.4" Uconnect 4C UAQ and 4C NAV units. I have had this issue diagnosed and confirmed by Huntington Beach Chysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Huntington Beach, CA.

The contact stated that the vehicle had failed to register the presence of the key fob inside the vehicle. The contact stated while driving and using the navigation system, the navigation system independently changed the destination address. The contact stated that the vehicle started independently while the contact was not in the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle shut off inadvertently while making a turn. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and continued driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer it was purchased from, and the lighting assembly underneath the seats were removed and the key fobs were replaced; however, the failures recurred. The vehicle was taken to Farris Motor Company (246 E Broadway Blvd, Jefferson City, TN 37760), where the driver's side and passenger's side front door panels modules, the radio frequency antenna and the infotainment system were replaced. Additionally, the dealer attempted to bypass the alarm by unplugging the hood latch; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to Farris Jeep Ram Chrysler Dodge (910 W Morris Blvd, Morristown, TN 37813) where the BCM was replaced, and the vehicle was temporarily repaired. The contact stated that the failures had been recurring. The contact disconnected the battery to prevent the alarm from sounding at night. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the failure could not be duplicated because the battery disconnection had cleared the trouble codes. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.

2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland that has been issued recall 94B (24-V-838) with no remedy currently available. While driving this vehicle, it displayed a message to stop and turn off vehicle as it will be shutting down soon. Without further warning, the vehicle shut down, all power, lights etc, while driving at posted speed of 55 MPH, which resulted in the need for the driver to pursue action to avoid what could have been a serious accident. The active error codes indicate an issue with the HCU/ABS module, which is what was recalled. Jeep has not provided any assistance during the 5 months since this recall was issued. This recall should be upgraded to a mandatory do not drive recall with a loaner vehicle to be provided by Jeep until a remedy is determined.

I am writing to formally express my frustration and deep concern regarding Recall 94B, which affects my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude and currently has no available remedy. This recall, as confirmed by Fox Chrysler Jeep in Southfield, MI, directly impacts critical safety features, including the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) and other key functions essential for the safe operation of my vehicle. Given the severity of this issue—especially during Michigan’s harsh winter months—I find it unacceptable that no resolution is currently available. Fox Chrysler Jeep has verified that all warning lights on my dashboard are related to this recall, yet they have informed me there is nothing they can do at this time. As a loyal Jeep owner, I am extremely disappointed that Stellantis has not yet provided a solution to an issue that directly compromises my safety and that of others on the road. Given the circumstances, I am requesting immediate assistance from Stellantis to explore options for getting out of my current vehicle and into a new or used vehicle that is not subject to such serious, unresolved recalls. I cannot continue to drive a vehicle that poses such a significant safety risk, and I believe Stellantis has a responsibility to provide a viable alternative for affected customers.
