1995 Jeep Laredo Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1995 Jeep Laredo, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

ALL FOUR OF THE SEATBELT ASSEMBLY HAVE FAILED, THIS WAS DISCOVERED BY ACCIDENT WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED SWIFTLY MY SON RECEIVED VERY MINOR INJURIES BUT THIS INCIDENT PROMPTED US TO HAVE ALL BELTS CHECKED AT THE LOCAL JEEP DEALERSHIP AND ALL OF THE SEAT BELTS WERE DISCOVERED TO BE FAULTY NOT WORKING. THIS IS A 1995 JEEP CHEROKEE WITH ONLY 84,000 MILES. THIS WAS REPORTED TO THE CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AS I AM SCARED THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF SIMILAR FAILED SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY'S THAT WILL ONLY BE DISCOVERED NOT TO BE WORKING IN AN EMERGENCY WHEN THEY NEED TO WORK THE MOST, I THINK ALL VEHICLES OF A SIMILAR AGE FITTED WITH THIS BRAND OF SEAT BELT SHOULD BE CHECKED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. *TR
