Abs module has been bad now for over 1 years, I was 541 on waiting list with only 2 available nationwide, now still being told not available and "it's okay to drive without it" by the dealership, so no anti lock brakes, no cruise control, no traction control, this module is now over 1400 dollars to install but not available, hmmm part was 200 bucks before all the 2015 jeep wranglers start to experience the same issue and MOPAR wont make the part , it should be a recall before a driver or other road users get KILLED, this is being reported all over the USA, seems like all 2015 modules are the problem, (should have recalled the plastic abs oil cooler that is placed inside of engine block PLASTIC doesn't withstand heat, but I repaired that to a tune of 1800 bucks) then ABS module out jeep dealer put me on the list for part but not able to say if ever the module will be available, I checked Amazon they have them but was instructed not to use the product on my jeep that it would hurt other components on vehicle, PLEASE MAKE MOPAR make and install these faulty abs module, don't let them force the public to drive without safety features mandated in 2012 on all vehicles to have anti lock brakes, thanks for your attention, still waiting for over a year plus for a OEM part so my wife can safely drive the long distances she is required to do , this recall is way over due 😉

My ABS Module has failed with under 12,000 miles on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler JK. This is a known issue with the replacement module either unavailable or, what used to cost a few hundred dollars, now costing a few thousand dollars. Why is a car manufacturer permitted to produce a defective part critical to stopping a vehicle and then be rewarded handsomely for a repair to the issue it created? Many Jeep owners I have encountered are choosing not to repair their vehicles and are on the road in vehicles without antilock brakes. Surely this is a significant safety issue that should be remedied at the manufacturer’s expense.

I purchased this 2015 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon new and have maintained and serviced it regularly. At approximately 75,000–80,000 miles, the engine began developing a ticking noise from the passenger/right cylinder head area. The problem progressively worsened. At approximately 100,000 miles, repairs were performed involving the right-side cylinder head and camshaft because of camshaft/valvetrain wear and a persistent cylinder #2 misfire. The right-side cylinder head/camshaft area has required repair more than once. Rocker arms were also replaced, but the underlying problem continued. The vehicle now has approximately 150,000 miles. The engine recently shut down and developed a loud mechanical noise. Upon inspection, significant wear/damage was again found involving the right-side exhaust camshaft/valvetrain, and there are concerns involving the timing chain/tensioning system. A failure of these components while driving could cause sudden engine shutdown or loss of power, creating a safety risk. The vehicle has also developed electrical/safety-related problems. The airbag warning light is illuminated, and the steering-wheel controls and steering-wheel illumination are not functioning. The vehicle was involved in an accident in 2019; however, the engine ticking condition was already present before that accident, although it was less noticeable at that time. Despite previous repairs, the engine/valvetrain problem has returned. I am reporting this because the repeated camshaft/valvetrain failure, persistent cylinder #2 issue, possible timing-system problem, and associated risk of engine shutdown appear abnormal and potentially safety-related for a regularly maintained vehicle.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the odometer and Carfax report listed the mileage at 119,293; however, the mileage on the title was 124,544. The police was contacted.

I am filing this complaint regarding my 2015 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited Sahara and a failure of the vehicle’s ABS module. The ABS module has failed, leaving the vehicle with a malfunctioning anti-lock braking system and related safety features. My greater concern is that the replacement ABS module is reportedly no longer being manufactured or made readily available. This leaves owners with very limited options to repair a critical safety system, including relying on used or refurbished components of uncertain reliability. The ABS system is an important safety component of the vehicle, and the inability to obtain a new replacement module creates a significant safety and consumer issue for owners of these vehicles. A vehicle that is otherwise mechanically serviceable should not effectively become unrepairable because a manufacturer-discontinued electronic component for a critical braking system is no longer available. I am asking NHTSA to investigate whether the lack of availability of replacement ABS modules for the Jeep Wrangler JK presents a safety concern and whether the manufacturer should be required to provide an appropriate remedy or continued access to replacement parts.

In October 2025, the Anti-lock Breaking System (ABS) Brake, traction control, downhill control indicators all illuminated. This also impacts cruise control and acceleration from a stopped position. My repair technician placed an order for the necessary ABS control module with MOPAR. The expected delivery date was August 2026. In August 2026, MOPAR informed them the part was on a nationwide back order with no ETR for resolution. I placed an order for the ABS Module in August 2026, with a suggested date of delivery in two weeks. MOPAR has advised us today 18 August 26, there is no ETR for this critical component to be available. Anti-lock brakes are federally mandated in all vehicles 2012 and beyond. Not having this module disables multiple required safety components in the vehicle not just ABS and puts the consumer, other drivers at risk.

I am contacting you to report a serious safety and parts availability issue involving my 2015 Jeep Rubicon. Jeep is no longer making the ABS module for my vehicle available and I have been unable to obtain a replacement module anywhere else. This has been an ongoing issue for several years now. The ABS system is an important safety component, and without a functioning ABS module, the vehicle can not be driven safely. What is particularly concerning is that Jeep has effectively left owners with no reasonable way to repair this critical safety system. This is not a consmetic or convenience related part. The ABS system directly affects the vehicle's ability to brake safely, particularly during emergency braking or when traction is compromised. I would like NHTSA to investigate whether Jeep's failure to make replacement ABS modules available for these vehicles creates an unreasonable safety risk for owners. I also believe NHTSA should determine whether Jeep should be required to provide a remedy, replacement parts or other means of restoring the ABS system to safe operating conditions. I was driving our 2015 Jeep Wrangler on the highway probably going around 60MPH and had a deer run in front of her and had to brake suddenly. The jeep skidded and fish taled slightly before coming to a complete stop and I avoided hitting the deer. The ABS system did not work. Ironically, the ABS and Traction Control lights had come on occasionally but would then go off. It's hit or miss whether these lights come on when you start the vehicle. We took the jeep to Barnes Automotive in Westminster Maryland and they diagnosed that the ABS module (Part 68259556AE) was bad and needed to be replaced. They said they tested it by clearing the error, but then after driving it around town, the error would appear again. They informed me that there is a national shortage of the part and they estimated there is a 90 day backorder. I can't wait 3 months to not drive the vehicle so they let me know just to be aware the vehicle will be ok to drive but to know that it doesn't have ABS if I need to make any sudden stops. Sounds like a very common issue with Jeep Wranglers.

I have a C2200 diagnostic code for an internal fault on my ABS module. This is on a national backorder, and the Jeep dealership told me there in no current ETA. Therefore, I have been driving around with no ABS. Sometimes the transmission will surge or bog down causing erratic behaviors on the road which nearly led to me rear ending someone. I worry what will happen if I am ever forced to slam on the brakes in an emergency, but unfortunately, I have no choice but to continue driving it.

Incident: On the morning of July 14, 2026, (rush hour), I was driving my 2015 Jeep (VIN [XXX]; approximately 28,000 miles) southbound on Interstate 75 toward Miami International Airport. I was traveling at approximately 75 mph when several dashboard warning lights suddenly illuminated: •Brake warning •ABS •Sway bar •Stability control •Transmission The Jeep speed dropped dramatically while the engine rpm increased sharply. The sudden deceleration caused a near pileup among the vehicles behind me, but no collision occurred. Aftermath: After the abrupt slowdown, the speedometer displayed no reading. To protect the engine, I continued operating the Jeep at 3 to 3500 rpm max, and an estimated speed of 20–25 mph. I was able to exit Interstate 75 a few miles from the initial incident and eventually reached Park 'N Fly near MIA Airport. Dealer Findings: Upon trip return on XXX, I took the Jeep to Bomnin Chrysler-Jeep (invoice XXX). The dealer advised me that: •The Jeep's ABS had failed. •The reduced-speed condition was a built-in "protective" feature known as “limp mode.” •The failed ABS module, part number 68259556, is reportedly a common issue in Jeep JK models. •Stellantis no longer manufactures with part. As a result, the Jeep became inoperable for normal use and had to be transported approximately 150 miles from XXX to my residence. Safety Concern and Requested Action: I was fortunate that the road was dry and that no semi-truck was immediately behind me. The passenger vehicles following me were able to react safely, preventing a collision. It is unacceptable that a component directly related to braking and vehicle stability is reportedly prone to failure, discontinued, and that a reliable alternate part does not exist. Given the seriousness of the failure and the sudden loss of speed it caused, I believe ABS module 68259556 should be investigated for a a potential safety recall covering the affected vehicles. The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to accelerate into a higher gear and went into LIMP Mode. The ABS warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel and was also illuminated prior to the failure. The vehicle was driven back to the residence. A few days later, the vehicle operated normally, but the failure recurred after being driven several times. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer, where a technician diagnosed the vehicle's ABS module failure. The contact was informed that the ABS module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired out of pocket. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 81,000.

About a year ago my dashboard lit-up with a variety of ABS warning lights. My diagnostic module indicated a failure of the ABS module. I paid over $1400 for the part from Mopar and am still waiting with no guaranteed delivery date. Mopar calls the part a "special order," but should be part of the standard parts repair inventory. The braking has become unreliable (or "mushy") with extreme swerving on sudden breaking. Evidently, this is a wide-spread problem being experienced by many Jeep owners. I contend that there should be a safety recall before there is a serious accident or class-action.

A variety of warning light came on my display in September 2025 indicating a failure of the anti-lock braking module. I paid $1137.01 with Mopar Genuine Parts only to find that the part is on "universal back order." That was almost a year ago! It doesn't seem "usual and customary" to charge for a part before it is shipped. Also, driving the car in this condition poses a significant safety risk for which there appears to be no resolution. Aftermarket parts are not available or have poor customer reviews.

ABS control module failure on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. I can not find a new, use or rebuilt replacement. The earliest appointment that I can get at the local dealership is July 30, 2026. I went to a local independent repair shop. They verified the ABS control module failure but also can not find a new, use or rebuilt replacement. This happened to my daughter on her 2016 Jeep Wrangler about a year ago and my son on his 2016 Dodge Ram pickup. It took my son two years to find a replacement part. My daughter got tired of waiting and traded in her Jeep. Three failures in the same family can’t be a coincidence.

The anti-lock brake system (ABS) control module on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited failed, resulting in a C2200 internal ABS module fault. The failure disables the ABS, electronic stability control, and traction control safety systems. The failed component is available for inspection upon request. The initial symptoms were ABS, traction control, and stability control warning lights appearing intermittently. The issue was later confirmed through diagnostic scanning to be an internal ABS control module failure. As the condition progressed, the vehicle lost the speedometer signal and began experiencing abnormal automatic transmission behavior, including delayed shifting, holding gears longer than normal, and higher than expected engine RPMs. This appears to be related to the vehicle losing accurate speed information from the failed ABS system. The vehicle was inspected and diagnosed with the C2200 ABS module fault. The required OEM replacement ABS module is reportedly unavailable through normal parts channels and has been on extended backorder, leaving owners with limited repair options and significant repair costs. This failure presents a safety concern because critical driver assistance systems, including ABS and electronic stability control, are disabled. In addition, the loss of vehicle speed information can affect transmission operation and normal vehicle drivability. The problem appears to be a known failure affecting other vehicles of this generation, and replacement parts are difficult or impossible to obtain through standard repair channels.

I recently had the C2200 Code for ABS module failure. The fact there are no current parts available and there has been a waiting list for years is extremely troubling. I'm not sure how having a faulty ABS system is not an issue that warrants an investigation. There are a lot of Chrysler/Jeep vehicles on the road that are having to be driven in an unsafeanner due to not being able to repair the damaged parts. This is unacceptable.

I have a Bad ABS control module error code. Code C2200. The Module is not available to purchase. I had it back ordered for a year already till the dealer cancelled the order and refunded me the money. I am forced to drive my jeep this way. This needs to be addressed by the Jeep. This is a known issue in the Jeep community.

am the original owner of this 2015 Jeep Wrangler, which I purchased new. The vehicle has been properly maintained according to the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule. I have records documenting routine maintenance, including regular oil changes. At approximately 75,000 miles, I began hearing a persistent ticking noise from the engine. Because I was concerned that the noise could indicate a mechanical problem, I scheduled an inspection with an authorized Jeep dealership. The dealership diagnosed the vehicle with a failed rocker arm that caused damage to the exhaust camshaft. The dealership advised that the intake camshaft remained in good condition, indicating that the failure was isolated to the exhaust valvetrain at the time of diagnosis. This type of internal engine failure at approximately 80,000 miles was unexpected for a properly maintained vehicle. My concern is that if this condition is not diagnosed promptly, continued operation could result in further engine damage, loss of engine performance, engine misfire, or potential engine failure while the vehicle is being driven, creating a potential safety hazard. While researching this issue after receiving the diagnosis, I found numerous reports from other owners of vehicles equipped with the 3.6L Pentastar engine describing similar rocker arm and camshaft failures across Jeep owner forums, Reddit, Facebook owner groups, and YouTube. Although I understand there has not been a recall for this condition on my vehicle, I believe the number of similar owner reports suggests the issue may warrant further review. I am submitting this complaint so that NHTSA is aware of the issue and can evaluate whether similar failures are occurring with sufficient frequency to justify additional investigation.
