When I was coming to a stop at a stoplight, my vehicle started to violently wobble almost having me to loose control. I was unable to slow down when pressing the brakes and almost hit vehicles in front of me.this has happened numerous times and I have had my tires rotated and alignment done just recently.
This vehicle is not suitable for driving, it has suspension, alignment, brake and speed problems. I was about to have an accident, I was going down an avenue and suddenly the wheels stopped and the car began to move from one side to the other and I lost stability of the steering wheel and the car, putting my life and the lives of my family (my girlfriend and my mother) at risk, luckily I did not cause an accident because there was no car in the side lane ... It is impossible to drive this car, the next day I took the car to a detailed inspection at a mechanical workshop specialized in Jeeps and indeed it has serious and serious problems with the car. There are images where the lights on the dashboard are on and the engine is also overheated ... For this reason, I decided to return the car to the dealer and file the report as evidence of this defective car and dangers to driving ...
Driver had 50,000 miles maintenance service scheduled when the engine light went on a week prior to the service date. Therefore she asked the mechanic to do a diagnostic check on engine and mechanic at the Jeep dealership reported list of problems which solutions found which include: Replace Thermostat and holding Replace Vacuum Pump Replacing U-Joint Replacing All Ball Joints Replacing Front Axle Seals Replacing Both Shocks Replacing Engine Oil cooler Driver has been working from home for 6 years and the wrangler is driven on weekends and never done off roading. Jeep was purchased new in 2016.
Track bar mount welds sheared of the axle housing at 70 mph after hitting a pothole. Vehicle shot to the right almost putting me into a guard rail. Would have been a terrible accident if I did hit said guard rail. No warning lamps or indicators.
FRONT FRAME CROSS MEMBER BRACKETS CRACKED, MAJOR CRACK RIGHT SIDE, CRACK LEFT SIDE. THIS IS THE MOST FRONT FRAME ACROSS THE FRONT BOTTOM BELOW FRONT OF ENGINE. NOTE A ROADMASTER TOWING BASE PLATE IS ATTACHED TO THIS AREA. THIS JEEP IS REGULARLY TOWED BEHIND A MOTORHOME. APPROX 45000 DRIVING PLUS 40000 BEING TOWED. IF BASEPLATE CAME OFF, JEEP WOULD DETACH INCL SAFETY CABLES. STICKER SAYS INSPECT EVERY 3000 MILES, NEVER SAW THAT BEFORE.
I FIRST EXPERIENCED THE "DEATH WOBBLE" WITHIN A YEAR OR SO OF PURCHASING MY NEW 2016 JEEP WRANGLER...VERY SCARY (SEEMS TO HAPPEN ON A ROUGH SPOTS IN THE ROAD, TRAVELING AT 45 MPH OR HIGHER).THE FRONT END WAS SHAKING SO BADLY THAT I THOUGHT I HAD A FLAT TIRE, OR THAT A WHEEL HAD FALLEN OFF. IT HAS NOW HAPPENED AT LEAST 8 TIMES, AND I NO LONGER DRIVE ON ANY INTERSTATE HIGHWAY. I TOOK IT IN TO THE JEEP DEALER TO HAVE THIS CHECKED OUT ON JUNE 27, 2017 WITH 31,237 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. THEY SAID THAT EVERYTHING LOOKED FINE. ALSO HAD THE TIRES ROTATED AND BALANCED TO SEE IF THAT WAS PART OF THE PROBLEM, BUT JUST WHEN YOU THINK THAT ALL IS OK, IT HAPPENS AGAIN. YOU ARE NEVER SURE WHEN TO EXPECT IT, AND IT IS UNNERVING. THE JEEP DEALER CLAIMED TO HAVE NOT HEARD OF THE "DEATH WOBBLE". I THINK JEEP IS HIDING THE FACT THAT THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. YOU CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT IT IS LIKE UNTIL IT HAPPENS TO YOU.
JEEP DEATH WOBBLE - WHILST TAKING MY SON TO SCHOOL I WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, I STUCK A SMALL POTHOLE WITH MY RIGHT FRONT TIRE. THE VEHICLE FRONT END BEGAN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY AS THE STEERING WHEEL OSCILLATED ABOUT 6 INCHES BACK AND FORTH. IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND NEARLY COLLIDED WITH CENTER MEDIAN AND VEHICLES TO MY RIGHT. SLOWING DOWN TO ABOUT 5 MPH CAUSED THE WOBBLE TO SUBSIDE. THIS WAS AN EXTREMELY SCARY EVENT AND COULD HAVE CAUSED INJURY/DEATH OF BOTH OF US HAD I LOST CONTROL. A DASHCAM VIDEO OF THE INCIDENT CAN BE PROVIDED IF NEEDED.
JEEP DEATH WOBBLE. NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS ON THE FREEWAY, WHEN THE ENTIRE STEERING SYSTEM STARTED SHAKING VIOLENTLY. ALMOST CAUSED A HORRIFIC CRASH AT 70 MPH....AND THIS IS THE 5TH TIMES IT HAS HAPPENED IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS.
