TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 KEYSTONE OUTBACK-SYDNEY (TRAVEL TRAILER). WHILE STATIONARY, THE REAR OF THE TRAILER CAUGHT FIRE. APPROXIMATELY TEN MINUTES LATER, THE ENTIRE TRAILER WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE AND FILED A REPORT. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS DETERMINED TO BE FROM A POWER SURGE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. UPDATED 09/24/08. *LJ UPDATED 09/30/08.*JB

NANCO TIRES- DOT CODE ON KC TCI DATE CODE 4604 I SUFFERED A SUDDEN FAILURE IN AUGUST 2005. NO ACCIDENT AND MINIMAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE. DURING SPRING INSPECTION THREE ADDITIONAL TIRES MATCHING THESE CODES HAVE BEGUN TO SEPARATE AT THE SIDEWALL. KEYSTONE RV HAS INSTALLED THIS TIRE ON PROBABLY THOUSANDS OF RV'S IN THE COUNTRY AND I HAVE THROUGH EMAIL FOUND A MINIMUM OF 15 ADDITIONAL PEOPLE WITH THE SAME FAILURE. THE RISK OF UNEXPECTED FAILURE AND ACCIDENT IS HIGH FROM THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM SHOULD IT BE WIDESPREAD. NANCO HAS AGREED TO REPLACE MY DAMAGED TIRES. *NM
