2004 Knapheide Nissan 1800HD Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THE CAR JERKS WHEN ACCELERATING, GOING FROM REVERSE TO PROCEED FORWARD, WHEN GOING UPHILL AND FROM STOP TO GO. IT IS BECOMING WORSE AND HAVE BEEN TOLD MANY THINGS FROM DIFFERENT MECHANICS. AFTER VIEWING THE MANY COMPLAINTS I AM NOT AWARE THIS IS A CONCERN FOR NISSAN TO FOLLOW UP ON. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO TRADE IN THE VEHICLE BUT BECAUSE I CAN'T AFFORD A DOWN PAYMENT NISSAN WILL NOT DO SO. HOWEVER I NOW MAY BE LOOKING AT BEING STUCK ON THE ROAD, WASTING MONEY ON A LOST CAUSE OR HURT IF ANYTHING HAPPENS AND IF IT CAN BE PREVENTED, THAT IS WHAT NISSAN'S CONCERN SHOULD BE. I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP NOT ONLY MY DAUGHTER SAFE BUT OTHERS ON THE ROAD AS WELL. *TR

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
