2006 Kzrv Frontier Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

I HAD PICKED UP MY TRAILER FRIDAY EVENING FROM THE DEALER FOLLOWING SOME WARRANTY WORK. I DROVE STRAIGHT THROUGH FROM MARTINSVILLE TO RICHMOND, ABOUT A 4 HOUR DRIVE WITH NO STOPS. AVERAGE HIGHWAY SPEEDS OF 55 TO 65 MPH. TIRE PRESSURE HAD BEEN VERIFIED IN ALL 4 TIRES WHEN THE TRAILER WAS DROPPED OFF AT THE DEALER 6 DAYS EARLIER. A CHECK OF THE REMAINING TIRES THIS MORNING SHOW ALL AT 50 PSI (+/-1 PSI). WHEN I GOT HOME I FOUND THE LEFT FRONT TRAILER TIRE BLOWN. I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE IT WHILE DRIVING, NOT SURE AT WHAT POINT IN THE TRIP IT BLEW. THE TRAILER DID FEEL A LITTLE "LOOSE" BUT OTHERWISE PULLED OK. THE TRAILER IS ABOUT 2 YEARS OLD AND WITH VERY FEW MILES ON IT. MOST OF OUR TRIPS ARE IN STATE. I WOULD ESTIMATE NO MORE THAN 5,000 TOTAL MILES. THE BLOWN TIRE HAS CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE WHEEL WELL AND UNDERCARRIAGE. NANKANG LOADMAX RADIAL, ST205/75R15, TUBELESS, LOAD RANGE C DOT WEUL 070 1005 N7. *TR

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
