What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

incident # 11633408 December 30, 2024 The car was serviced due to a faulty door latch. Pd $1200.00 Two days later the passenger door flew open, and would not close. After 10 minutes I finally got the door to close fully.2 days later, the same door opened and almost hit shoppers in a parking lot. This continued until I did not use the passenger door at all. I returned the car to the dealership. Diagnosis..they had installed a faulty door latch again! This issue has been on recall. yet my car in number was not part of the recall so I had to pay for it. This is a huge safety issue. I shouldn't have to worry about a door flying open when operating it.Jaguar/Range Rover seems not to care since my vin number was not part of the recall. Plus, the dealership said my windshield now leaks, (again a recall) but not my vin number. Can someone assist me with my car that is having serious safety issues?
The contact owns a 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. The contact stated that upon attempting to lock the doors using the remote control or from inside the vehicle, the doors failed to lock as designed. The contact also stated that the rearview camera, and the driver’s and passenger’s side mirrors were not functioning using the controls on the inside of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer to be diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the door latch switch was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,500.

While driving my 2019 Range Rover Evoque on the highway on [XXX], the headliner on my vehicle just suddenly collapsed, hitting me in the head while driving and blocking my view of my rear windshield and rear view mirror and startling me almost causing a serious accident at 70 miles per hour. Something like this should not happen on a car that is just a few years old and has less than 30k miles on it. The adhesive in the headliner just simply failed and the whole thing collapsed. I called my Land Rover Dealership and they just stated that the warranty expired 2 years ago and nothing they can do. So then I called Land Rover corporate at 1800-637-6837 option 9 and they told me they can't help either unless I take it to dealership and spend $300 to get a diagnostic report from them. Then they may or may not assist me. I brought to their attention that the model year 2020 Range Rover Evoque has 2 current recalls for the same issue, Failing headliner and headliner built missing materials and since the body on the 2019 and 2020 are exactly the same the recall should cover this as well, but they refuse and say it goes by year and VIN and 2019 is not covered under the recall. The recalls in mention are: Recall N412 (19V-840) and Recall N454. These need to be expanded to cover 2019 or a new recall needs to be added, because the issue of a suddenly collapsing headliner while driving is a serious and potentially fatal matter. Not sure how you can help but something needs to be done because this is a danger to life and property. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Malfunction Indicator Lamp illuminated with VCT diagnostic trouble codes stored in module; increased induction noise while driving; reduction in performance; and camshaft over speed. This was covered in N481 but has expired. I have owned my vehicle since June 2020 and was not notified of this Service Action Notice by my dealer or Range Rover. The last 6 numbers of my VIN falls within the range of vehicles affected by this notice; I.e., 255258-354248. This is a known safety hazard and it needs to be covered for the vehicle owners affected by this issue without expiration.
